Sunset Speedway |

The Harder Racing Team was at Sunset Speedway this weekend. The day started off with rain and the promise of more rain, but that didn't stop us at all. We made it to the track and waited a short while for the rain to stop and unloaded.
Sunset is a very unique racetrack. Turns 1 and 2 are different than 3 and 4. Abe tried his best to maneuver his Tricorp Transportation Pontiac Grand Prix around the track, but we missed on the setup a little and he had his hands full. We managed a 12th place finish in the first 50 laps, which is really good considering we've never been here before. Before the second 50 lap race began, adjustments were made and the car responded better to Abe's liking, but still not perfect. There was a little beatin' and bangin' going on and Abe managed to better his previous showing with a 10th place finish.
All in all, it was a good day. The rain held off and Abe drove the wheels off the car and brought it home in one piece.
Next week, we'll be at Cayuga Speedway where we look forward to racing in conjunction with NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Check back soon for photos of Sunset and come see us this Saturday, Sept. 1 at Cayuga.
